RobLynn Ranch Meat Bucks

 

When planning our breeding, careful consideration is given to which buck will be put with which does. Even in our commercial herd. For example, Snickers gets put with experienced does, he throws nice birth weights but is a rather large buck. Hi-Five goes with does he's not related to & ones I want to have the wonderful Savannah influence of better feet, mothering, & milk. Shylock goes with unrelated does I'd like to have a bit more milk in because of the bit of Nubian in his background, last year was his first with us & as I mentioned on his write up he threw all doelings! These are only a few considerations we take. Knowing who is related to who, & using the positive attributes of both does & bucks is very important.
